The LMFRF was founded by Jesse and Linda King in 2002. Originally, it began to raise money for the ODWC to afford to do improvement projects in the LMFR Trout Fishery. With our funding, and matching Federal Sportfish Restoration funds, the LMFR has become a greater fishery. It has since branched out to also include helping the Park Rangers, improve the Park, help the Game Wardens, teach fly fishing to the Youth Forestry Camp, and support Reel Recovery and North Texas Patriot Anglers.

We currently have over 21.8 million Veterans in our beautiful country. In the current conflicts, we have lost more veterans to their own hand than we have in combat. There are not enough resources currently available for healthy, alternative methods of healing for these heroes who have sacrificed so much for us. We here at AWOL, are going to change that to the best of our ability. Through the gracious donations of our fellow countrymen, we provide our Veteran clients all expenses paid, professionally guided fly-fishing retreats to premier destinations here in New Mexico. It is an effort to share the peace and tranquility this sport tends to bring, and perhaps send these veterans back to their hometowns, armed with a new healthy pastime to chase.

Hey, I’m Tyler. I created Good Hat Company. My passion for creating started at a young age and eventually brought me to art school where I realized I wanted to build my own brand of products for people like yourself to wear and enjoy. Everybody has a little country in them and I wanted to celebrate that culture through this brand. So browse the shop, try a couple things on (virtually, of course) and hopefully you’ll find yourself saying, “Man, that’s a damn good lookin’ hat.”
Dave has been working on his own motorcycles since his first one, a brand new 1974 Kawasaki S3 400. After studying electrical and mechanical engineering and a long career in the aviation industry, he recently turned his long-time motorcycle repair hobby into a full-time operation. These days he’s wrenching more than riding, but gets in lots of test runs on everything that comes through the doors, and enjoys his own bikes when running errands or Sunday rides. We treat your bike like it’s one of ours, and keep in close contact with you through your work scope with updates and photos.
